Researchers have been aware for decades that women are more likely to be killed or injured in a car accident because in crash tests that are carried out to test the safety of vehicles, universal dummies are often used that do not consider the figure of the woman. In general, the possibility that a man’s body might react differently to a woman’s body in accidents is not taken into consideration. This lack of consideration has had significant consequences on automotive safety with deadly consequences.
